Essex Society of Genealogists
An organization based in the Lynnfield (MA) Public Library, an extensive genealogical library is available for all to use, and members meet 8 times per year to learn more from speakers and each other.

Massachusetts Genealogical Council
Dedicated to develop and promote the study of genealogy, this membership organization also promotes the preservation and publication of local and state records.

New England Historical Genealogical Society
The oldest genealogical society in the U.S., this membership organization is a family history repository with an emphasis on New England Roots.

The third largest genealogy collection in New England, the society offers researchers access the Rhode Island Cemetery database as well as other resources.

Vermont Historical Society
Preserving the history of Vermont through artifacts, books and documents, the society also offers lists of genealogists for hire should you require that kind of assistance.
